What is Kinesiology?

muscle-testing-kinesiologyKinesiology is a holistic system of natural health care that combines muscle monitoring with the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), energy balancing and other healing modalities.  Originating in the 1970’s, with its foundation in Chiropractics, it works with the inter-relationship between body structure, chemistry, the mind and emotions, and energy systems to promote physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health.  Kinesiology assessment uses muscle monitoring (assessing the quality of the muscle response not its strength) to let the body reveal precisely the location and / or nature of its imbalances, and dictate its preference for treatment.  It uses a range of gentle yet powerful corrections and treatments, which bring about instant change and balance.

Illness does not arrive suddenly, though it may seem to do so: it is usually the result of a build-up of stress, physical or emotional, leading to imbalances in the body / mind system which ultimately lead to physical symptoms.  For someone to be completely healthy, the body / mind system needs to be functioning well, and in harmony.

Kinesiology can assist with:muscle-testing-kinesiology

  • pain relief, physical or emotional
  • stress management
  • headaches
  • emotional well-being
  • finding direction and clarity
  • increase your energy
  • muscular-skeletal problems
  • dysfunctional behaviour patterns
  • making learning easier
  • freeing an individual from past blockages

Whatever the symptoms, Kinesiology balances the body and puts it in the optimum state to heal itself, by removing the negative stresses, be they physical, chemical or emotional.  Regular maintenance with Kinesiology can prevent this build-up from occurring.

In good health, Vicki
