Suitable for:

When Grief Comes to Stay

Having personal experience of traumatic loss, Kerry respects this topic as a sensitive one.  Kerry has supported children and adults who have suffered the loss of a loved one and knows the importance of normalising the presence and the purpose of grief.
She has written a book for children in the hope that both the reader and the listener feel supported in their understanding of grief. This talk is for adults who want to understand how to support themselves or others who grieve.

Navigating School Transitions

Whether transitioning to primary school or high school, new experiences can cause uncertainty and for some, the anticipation of these new life events increase worry and anxiety. This talk is designed to help parents to understand change and support their children through these times.

Tech Savvy Parenting

In an era where technology moves at such a rapid pace, parents are finding themselves unsure of how to negotiate discipline, protection and healthy relationships.
This workshop aims to support parents to stay connected and involved in their children’s activities, think about safety in a different way and encourage healthy screen practices.

Understanding Anxiety

Kerry takes a creative approach to understanding and managing anxious moments, drawing on many years of experience, both professional and personal. Having researched the topic broadly and worked with many parents and children facing these challenges, Kerry offers her unique insights into navigating anxiety. She has authored three books on the subject, including one that has sold out, with another coming soon.

Self-Care – More than just a Bubble Bath

The term “self-care” has been well used, particularly for those in the teaching and helping professions but what does it really mean in the work context? In an era where burnout is increasingly common, finding effective self-care strategies has never been more crucial.
Kerry has facilitated this workshop with telephone counselling volunteers, school counsellors, youth ministry staff and preschool educators. In this workshop Kerry will support participants to reflect on and discover the many ways, in and outside of the box, that self-care can be achieved.

Discipline: The Power of Guidance

In recent times there has been a lot of change in thinking about discipline, with parents given strict guidelines on what not to do but finding little support about what to do to redirect negative behaviour. In this workshop, Kerry draws on insights from her extensive experience in facilitating parenting programs, child and family counselling and chaplaincy work to provide a fresh perspective on a sensitive topic.

Personality – Knowing Me, Knowing Us

Kerry has a special interest in the Enneagram and how different personality styles interact to bring out strengths and challenges in relationships. She has delivered workshops on this topic in corporate and casual settings and in counselling sessions with parents.
This workshop will explore the different personality types and create opportunities to increase self-awareness which can be helpful in conflict resolution, recognising strengths in self and others and a source of personal growth.  This workshop can be facilitated for parents or professionals to explore family or team dynamics and enhance relationships in the home or work environment.
